Bohr Energie, an energy aggregator specializing in the management and optimization of renewable assets, and SIREA, a long-standing French player in electrical automation, renewable energy, and energy storage, announce the launch of a commercial offering for small-scale renewable energy producers.

This collaboration aims to bridge facility control technology and energy market expertiseto offer independent producers an integrated approach, ranging from the sizing and equipping of storage systems to their management and monetization on the markets.

Addressing a new challenge for renewable energy producers

The rapid development of renewable energy is accompanied by a growing need for flexibility. For producers, storage is a key lever for better utilizing their installations, managing production periods, and optimizing the value of the energy injected into the grid.

It is precisely this complementarity that underpins the collaboration between Bohr Energie and SIREA.

SIREA brings its technological expertise, with over 30 years of experience in electrical automation, renewable energy, and storage. The company is involved in all stages of project implementation, from design and commissioning to the operation and maintenance of installations.

For its part, Bohr Energie contributes its expertise in energy markets and asset optimization. As an energy aggregator, the company supports independent producers in managing and monetizing their energy in increasingly complex and volatile markets.

"Our ambition is to bring together two components that are often treated separately: the technology that physically controls an asset and the expertise required to determine when and how to monetize it on the markets. By combining our expertise, we can build a much more comprehensive solution for producers." Julien Haure, CEO of Bohr Energie

From EMS to the energy market: an integrated value chain

At the heart of the collaboration is the interoperability between SIREA’s control systems and the Bohr Energie platform.

TheEMS (Energy Management System) from SIREA serves as the local control unit for the battery and the installation. It handles equipment management and data exchange with the various system components.

Bohr Energie connects to this technological layer to transmit the necessary instructions for energy management and to integrate the installation's technical constraints into its monetization strategy. Concretely, the two companies are working to define the exchange protocols that allow SIREA to transmit data from the EMS and Bohr Energie to send battery control commands, particularly regarding power and charge levels. The goal is to enable a native compatibility between SIREA equipment and the Bohr Energie platform.

This architecture allows Bohr Energie to leverage its energy trading expertise to manage batteries based on market opportunities, while respecting their technical constraints. Ultimately, the collaboration aims to address the day-ahead and intradaymarkets, with a planned expansion into reserve mechanisms.

An offering covering everything from equipment to asset monetization

The collaboration involves the development of an integrated offering for BESS systems and hybrid installations for independent power producers.

The goal is to support a project across its entire value chain:

This collaboration fosters joint projects while maintaining the commercial independence of each company. Targeted use cases include standalone batteries and the hybridization of renewable power plants, with potential applications for photovoltaic, wind, or hydroelectric assets.

Two Occitan companies, one shared vision for the energy transition

Beyond technological and commercial complementarity, this collaboration brings together two companies based in the Occitanie region: Bohr Energie in Toulouse and SIREA in Castres.

Both share an approach based on technical expertise, close relationships with their clients, and a commitment to building concrete solutions to support the transformation of the energy system.

For Bohr Energie, this partnership also marks a new milestone in integrating storage into its renewable asset monetization offering.

"Storage is gradually becoming an essential component of renewable asset performance. Our role is to bridge the gap between this technical reality and the opportunities offered by energy markets. With SIREA, we are combining these two areas of expertise to build an end-to-end solution." Julien Haure, CEO of Bohr Energie
