Paris, November 19, 2024 – Enogrid, the leader in collective self-consumption in France, and Bohr Energie, a 3.0 aggregator of renewable energy production plants, have signed an unprecedented partnership. The aim is to meet the growing demand from producers interested in market valorization for collective self-consumption. This partnership provides a turnkey solution for producers who wish to locally valorize their production.
Thanks to this strategic collaboration, Bohr Energie becomes the only aggregator in France capable of offering renewable energy producers a turnkey solution for collective self-consumption.
Through this partnership, officially established on October 18, 2024, the two companies demonstrate their shared commitment to making the renewable energy market accessible to all.
Founded in 2018, Enogrid is a company specialized in collective self-consumption, aiming to make short circuits for renewable and decentralized electricity accessible to all. The company develops innovative solutions and tools to offer a full range of services to project holders: training, project study with the EnoLab simulator, support, assistance in recruiting consumers via the Mon énergie Collective platform, and operational management via the EnoPower software tool. Enogrid is a leader in collective self-consumption in France and has already supported over 370 projects at various stages of implementation.
Bohr Energie is a French company founded by producers, dedicated to supporting independent renewable energy producers by helping them value their production. It acts as an intermediary between producers and the energy market, managing the valorization of electricity while ensuring the role of balance responsible entity. In addition to its aggregation services, the company offers an innovative software for tracking financial performance, included in all its offers.
Bohr Energie and Enogrid have teamed up to meet the growing demand from renewable electricity producers for collective self-consumption. Together, they offer a turnkey solution, tailored to the technical and organizational challenges of this market. Thus, Bohr Énergie strengthens its offering by facilitating the implementation and management of collective self-consumption projects, using Enogrid’s tools and expertise.
With the rapid development of collective self-consumption, the electricity market in France is undergoing significant changes and requires the mobilization of all the players in the ecosystem. Historically, renewable electricity producers had two main ways to valorize their production: purchase obligation mechanisms or the spot and forward markets. However, since 2018, the model of collective self-consumption (reserved for production plants with a capacity of less than 3MW) has offered new economic valorization opportunities.
Today, thanks to this strategic partnership with Enogrid, Bohr Energie becomes the only aggregator in France able to offer renewable energy producers a turnkey solution for collective self-consumption. In addition, the company ensures the best possible valorization of their plants. This offering also targets producers who have won CRE tender calls, providing additional revenue for their plants alongside their primary compensation.
"Collective self-consumption is gaining momentum, and this is just the beginning. To succeed in scaling the model, one of the key challenges is to ensure it is accepted by all actors in the ecosystem. This unprecedented partnership with an aggregator is a step in that direction, and Enogrid is very happy to collaborate with Bohr Energie, with whom we share values of transparency and the desire to promote the development of short-circuit electricity systems," says Rémi Bastien, president of Enogrid.
"At Bohr Énergie, we are committed to making collective self-consumption simple, transparent, and profitable for everyone. Our partnership with Enogrid allows us to offer advanced tracking solutions, providing each participant—whether a producer or a consumer—with a clear and precise view of the financial benefits of their involvement. We are excited to work with Enogrid to provide our clients with intuitive management tools that support equitable and sustainable resource management," explains Julien Haure, co-founder and CEO of Bohr Energie.
Since 2018, Enogrid has been providing all citizens with the opportunity to contribute to the energy transition at the local level by facilitating the implementation of collective self-consumption. Collective self-consumption allows various stakeholders within a territory to come together as a community around renewable energy production: it’s the short circuit of electricity! Deployed throughout France, Enogrid operates on all types of projects, regardless of their stage of development or the source of electricity production. A certified impact company by Bpifrance Le Hub and France Digitale, Enogrid employs 34 people based in Paris and Grenoble.
Bohr Energie, a French company founded by energy producers, has been committed since 2020 to supporting independent renewable energy producers in optimizing the value of their production. As an aggregator approved by the energy exchange and RTE, Bohr Energie provides producers with direct access to energy markets, offering a transparent and efficient alternative to the purchase obligation mechanism. Based in Toulouse, the company employs a dedicated and engaged team, working closely with its clients to offer diversified solutions tailored to the specific needs of each project.
